FAQ

How does advertising work?

Your banner is displayed to users on the home screen, while they wait in queue, and during chat sessions. Each time a user sees your banner counts as one impression. You receive a personal link to view real-time stats anytime — no login needed.

What banner sizes do I need?

We use two sizes to ensure your ad looks perfect on every device. Desktop banner: 468×60 px (IAB Half Banner) — shown on desktop browsers and tablets. Mobile banner: 320×50 px (IAB Mobile Banner) — shown on smartphones and the Android app. Upload both for the best result. If you only upload a desktop banner, it will be used on mobile scaled to fit — this works fine for simple designs but may crop complex layouts on very small screens. We recommend uploading both. Keep your logo and key message centered in both formats since the edges may be slightly cropped.

Who sees my ads?

Users aged 18–35, roughly equal gender split, primarily from Sweden, Norway, UK, USA and worldwide. Available in Swedish, English and Portuguese. 85% of sessions are on mobile (web or Android app).

When does my campaign start?

Your campaign goes live within 24 hours after payment. You will receive a confirmation email with your personal stats link as soon as it is activated.

What if I don't have a banner?

We recommend creating banners with free tools like Canva (canva.com) — they have ready-made templates for exactly 468×60 and 320×50 sizes. Search "banner ad" in Canva templates. Simple designs with your logo, a short tagline, and a contrasting background work best.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept PayPal. You can pay with your PayPal balance, or any credit/debit card through PayPal — no PayPal account required to pay by card.

Can I pause or extend my campaign?

Contact us at ads@chatroulette.me and we will sort it out. Paused days do not count toward your campaign duration.
